In a strategic move to enhance its logistical capabilities, deugro has inaugurated a state-of-the-art Operations and Logistics Terminal spanning an impressive 96,775 square feet in Baytown, Texas, USA. Nestled in the heart of Baytown, this facility boasts 7.3 acres of paved and fenced hardstand, specifically designed to cater to container and cargo storage needs across diverse industry verticals.
Positioned for optimal connectivity, deugro’s new terminal ensures easy access to the Houston Ship Channel, major ports, and key highways. The facility is fortified with round-the-clock closed-circuit television (CCTV) and alarm monitoring security systems. Additionally, it features climate-controlled environments and employs advanced real-time automated inventory management, incorporating line-item checking, tracking, and material receipt processes. The implementation of cutting-edge IT solutions provides comprehensive control and visibility at the line-item level, facilitating seamless documentation generation for commercial invoices and packing lists.
The Operations and Logistics Terminal offers a spectrum of storage solutions, catering to both long-term and short-term needs. From palletized storage to bulk storage, the facility accommodates various requirements, providing turnkey solutions for the storage of industrial and oil field services equipment. A dedicated facility team ensures swift order fulfillment, minimizing turnaround times. The site also offers comprehensive packing services, including customized export crating, casing, container packing and unpacking, and cross-docking. Notably, the facility is powered by renewable energy sources, aligning with deugro’s commitment to sustainability.
Equipped with a diverse range of material-handling equipment, the terminal operates forklifts ranging from 3,000 to 55,000 pounds. It features two high, all-weather container loading docks, an oversized door for cargo access, and 14 grade-level overhead doors. The outdoor secured hardstand is strategically laid out with various laydown areas, including six dock high truck wells.
