German Authorities Warn of Dangerous Devices Sent Through Freight Services

Berlin – German security officials issued a stern warning on Friday regarding the presence of “unconventional incendiary devices” being dispatched via freight services. This alert, distributed to logistics and aviation companies, follows reports of several parcels catching fire during transit.

According to information from the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) and the BfV domestic intelligence agency, which was confirmed by DPA and Reuters, the alert details multiple incidents across several European countries where parcels sent by private individuals ignited unexpectedly.

The agencies noted that they have been monitoring the situation for several weeks. The warning indicates that these incendiary devices appear to be deliberately sent with the intent to damage freight companies and logistics infrastructure.

While the alert does not specifically mention Russia, sources have suggested that authorities have not dismissed the possibility of a link to recent instances of Russian sabotage within Germany. Security experts continue to investigate potential connections to broader geopolitical tensions.
