DSV A/S Poised for Major Acquisition of DB Schenker in €14 Billion Deal

DSV A/S is nearing a landmark agreement to purchase DB Schenker, the logistics arm of Deutsche Bahn AG, in a deal valued at approximately €14 billion ($15.4 billion), sources familiar with the negotiations revealed. If completed, this transaction could become one of the largest in the transport sector.

According to insiders, DSV has secured the backing of Deutsche Bahn’s management board, positioning itself favorably against competing bidder CVC Capital Partners. The Danish logistics firm is reportedly in the final stages of negotiating the acquisition and may finalize the agreement within the week.

However, the deal’s completion is contingent on approval from Deutsche Bahn’s supervisory board. This 20-member board, composed equally of shareholder and labor representatives, must review and approve the transaction before it can proceed.
